As a nutritionist and registered dietitian with a master’s degree in nutrition, I know a lot about healthful eating. But as a food lover, cookbook author and food show host, I also understand that taste is just as important as something being good for me.
So where do healthy and delicious meet? I like to call it the “sweet spot.” Eating healthfully isn’t about extreme dieting or depravation—it’s about balance. Food that is richly satisfying and great tasting, as well as good for you.
That healthy balance is what Mindful by Sodexo is all about too, which is why I’m so excited to partner with them as a culinary ambassador. This fall, I’ll be sharing four signature dishes available exclusively in Sodexo cafes. You can also find the recipes here so you can make your favorites at home.
Over the next year, I’ll also be sharing tips and advice to help inspire you to live life to the maximum and find your own sweet spot—that balance between great taste and good health.
My hope is that these articles will help you discover the simple things you can do to be healthier without making dramatic and unsustainable sacrifices. Soon, you’ll see that great taste and good health are not mutually exclusive. In fact, food that nourishes your body should be delicious.
Here’s what Mindful culinary ambassador Ellie Krieger wants you to eat more of to stay healthy and energized.
